Well, usually, most of the tooth whitening products are chemically the same. It's the matter of the concentration that you're using, and the time that you're involving with it; so we like to start people out with Crest Whitestrips, which is a very inexpensive product. It's actually a (little 00:00:15) adhesive strip that's got the same chemical embedded in it, except it's 5%, it's very low concentration, and you have to wear them a little bit longer than the in-mall things that some people have and so forth, but they're definitely cheaper. They do the job, if you'll stick with the program.
The next step up is to make whitening trays and have a little bit more concentrated material in there. That's more in the three or four hundred dollar range, and then from then on you can always go up to what they're doing at the malls, with the Zooms and stuff like that, which have concentrated lights and so forth; but reality is, is that they all last about six months and ... You have to do it again, no matter what you're doing; so the product is about the same, the chemical's about the same. It's a matter of, ”Do you want to spend a little bit more time and inexpensive, or a lot of money and more expensive, and possibly more uncomfortable?”
Do you have stained or discolored teeth that you hate? Are you embarrassed by your smile and constantly feel the need to hide it when you talk or laugh? We can help. Our office provides high-quality at home teeth whitening solutions that can help you get the brighter, whiter smile you desire.
Crest Whitestrips have been used for more than a decade to help patients achieve the more beautiful smile they desire. This whitening method uses disposable plastic strips placed over your teeth to produce the results. The strips are loaded with a hydrogen-peroxide–based whitening gel that does not damage the enamel. Like many whitening methods, they can create a sensitivity to hot and cold. While you can get Crest Whitestrips over the counter, the version sold in our office contains a higher concentration of the active ingredient, hydrogen peroxide, and is not available in drugstores.
Our Crest Whitestrips are great for those who need something a little stronger than over-the-counter products. We can help you get the whiter smile you have been wanting. If you have completed your orthodontic treatment and would like to get rid of yellowing or other staining, consider Crest Whitestrips as a way to improve your newly straightened smile.
Opalescence whitening is great for those looking for a bit brighter shade of white. We offer pre-made whitening trays that are loaded with whitening gel. This method of whitening can give you a brighter smile in just 5 to 10 days. The whitening gel is designed to penetrate the enamel of the tooth. Over-the-counter products can take care of superficial stains, but only professional whitening products such as Opalescence can reach deep stains and discoloration.
We also offer custom whitening trays. While these trays are a bit more of an investment than the pre-made trays, they will fit your teeth better and allow for more effective treatment. We highly recommend our custom whitening trays for those who want the highest level of whitening we offer. We can tailor the whitening concentration in the gel to your needs to produce the best results possible. If you are ready to achieve a brighter, whiter smile, consider our take-home custom whitening trays. Whitening Treatments After Orthodontic Care
We offer teeth whitening treatments to every patient who has completed orthodontic care. When you have braces, it can sometimes be difficult to clean your teeth as well as you should. This results in stained or discolored teeth after the braces are removed. Drinking or eating heavily staining food and beverages while wearing braces can also leave uneven coloration. We want to make sure you are getting the smile you want, and not just a stained (but straighter!) smile.
Even if you were able to avoid stains while wearing your braces, there is a good chance you could benefit from our take-home whitening treatments. If you want to look good and feel great about your smile, our whitening solutions may be for you.
If you are ready to make an appointment, please call our office at (561) 391-6415 or send us a message using our online form. We will be happy to help you get the smile you desire!
